The skills of staff are a major determinant of the quality and efficiency of many industries. And any skills gaps make it harder for organisations to meet quality standards, whilst increasing workloads of other staff and raising operational costs.

However with current cost pressures, funding for staff training can be a significant challenge.

So this special briefing sets out the various funding options available to help in developing the skills of employees.

This free-to-attend breakfast briefing is hosted by The Skills Network and LSEC, who have joined forces to provide a wide range of care-related classroom and distance learning courses.

The briefing, led by training specialists and funding experts, includes a talk by Anna Sutton from the Learning and Work Institute who will introduce Ambition London. A project Supporting employers and individuals to meet their skills needs, making use of Advanced Learner Loans to support their learning.

Funded by the JPMorgan Chase Foundation, the project aims to build better opportunities for Londoners to build their careers and employers to meet their skills needs.

There will also be time set aside for participants to share experience and best practice directly with other HR leaders and learning & development professionals.
